At Oak Park we train to grow as humans and to be well-prepared for the challenges and uncertainties of life. We believe this is best done together with other humans and under the guidance of dedicated, professional coaches.

Specialty Programs
Fire & Ice
The sessions in our Fire & Ice specialty program (led by XPT Master Coach Matt Nichols) combine the power of breathwork with the transformative experience of exposure to extreme heat (dry sauna) and extreme cold (ice baths) to forge mental resiliency and develop your capacity to control your breathing as a way to control your responses to extreme stress. Fire & Ice is not only an incredible experience for putting yourself to the test by choosing to be uncomfortable, but it is also an amazing tool for physical recovery from hard training and the stresses of life. The participants in Fire & Ice routinely forge deep connections with one another - doing hard things together is unparalleled for bringing people closer together - and this makes Fire & Ice an ideal team building experience as well.
Barbells & Bodybuilding
This specialty program run by Coach Nick Yiakos focuses on increasing your raw strength in the squat, deadlift, press, and bench press. Each session includes nutrition coaching, core work, and accessory work pertaining to the main lifts.
What’s the heaviest weight you can lift? If you want to find out, this specialty program is for you.
Youth Program
Oak Park Youth Program offers private training and group classes that are both fun and diverse for kids 5-17 years. We teach kids how to properly run, jump, push, pull and squat— all while improving their coordination, speed and agility. Kids will develop conditioning through body weight exercises, lifting weights, running, rowing and jumping rope. We break down and slow down movements first to practice, then add intensity when appropriate. We play games and use teamwork exercises to facilitate connection and allow students work at their own level to build confidence and autonomy.
Triathlon Team Training
Under the guidance of Coach Jamie Silber, the Triathlon Team Training Program provides Oak Park athletes the opportunity to train for endurance events outside the gym. This specialty program ranges from 10 weeks to 6 months in length and is designed to prepare for specific events (e.g. sprint distance, Ironman competition). In addition to on-site training, the Triathlon Training Program also engages in pool and open water swimming, bike rides, and running via team clinics and camps.
